Her achievements as a young performer in America (which we refer to as Maureen O'Hara today) would be a sure signification for her to the category of child prodigies. For a young Irish girl with talented parents and extended family, these traits came as a normal. Maureen was born in Ranelagh - a suburb of Dublin in Ireland on 17 August 1920. Marguerita LIlburn FitzSimons is her mom. She was an accomplished contralto. Charles FitzSimons ran a Dublin firm, as well as owned shares in the Irish Shamrock Rovers soccer club. Maureen was the second child of six FitzSimons children. Peggy, Florrie, Charles B. Fitzsimons, Margot Fitzsimons and James O'Hara completed this beautiful family.
